HOLD

Noodles (Foster Needed)

September 15, 2023 by Deb Gibb

Please meet Noodles. He’s a one year old, 11 pound bichon boy who was found by a good Samaritan, Of course he was not chipped nor did he have a collar or tag.

After posting his information, walking the neighborhood etc. the Finder contacted BFK to surrender Noodles whom he named. (Surgery for the gentleman next week and a 2 month recovery was the reason for the surrender!) Noodles was neutered today and is now recovering. We expect him to feel like himself within a day or two.

Noodles does well with kids (he has been around children from 8-13) and the resident dog who is a pitbull. He loves to play, wants to learn ‘Ferch, is curious, funny and energetic. Noodles needs training and responds well to commands and direction.

We are looking for someone to foster-to-adopt this little guy – and need to place him by next Wednesday.

If you are looking for a little cutie, have another preferably small dog for him to play with, and are willing to open your heart and home, please email marti@bichonfurkids.org or text her at 760-525-5556 ASAP.

Rosie

July 6, 2023 by Deb Gibb

Rosie must have:

— Someone who is home most of the time and no other FurKids required–I like to be the center of attention
— A family willing to train and further socialize me
— Older kids are okay
— A consistent, calm and loving environment

Experience Level:

— Recent experience with an active pup a plus
— Previous experience as a doggy parent required

Hi People!

My name is Remarkable and Ravishing Rosie– and I’m a darling little bichon girl. I’m smart, beautiful, affectionate, confident, intuitive, adaptable and playful. My BFK “Aunties” and our vet say I’m about 2-3 years old and weigh just a little more than 11 pounds. My hair is soft, white and beautiful — and I have warm and expressive brown eyes that seek your attention (so you can take me places or give me pets and belly rubs!)

Mom says I excel at being lovable! Why I love big people and smaller people and I love with all my heart. I’m really a cuddler. If anyone is sitting on the couch, well I just join them to cuddle and cuddle and cuddle. Mom says I get as close as possible and convince someone to pet me. When they stop, I nuzzle them to keep petting! You see, I’m smart enough to know the joys of being petted! Mom says I get an A++ in cuddles! I tell her, “Mom, I’m just practicing. And I expect to get better every day!”

I’m housebroken (no typo there!), love to run like the wind and sun in the yard! I also like to sit by the back door and let the breeze touch my face. Mom says that I also love all the things that Bichons love – like walks, treats, cuddles, and (drum roll please) I’m also a power lap sitter! I’m also an easy and very loyal little girl. I know some commands and want to learn more as I am very S-M-A-R-T! The thing about me is that sometimes I think I’m a big dog.

Speaking of which, while I’m ok with some other dogs, I need to be the center of someone’s world – and the only FurKid in the home.

My Ideal Home:
* Someone home most of the time
* No other FurKids required–I like to be the center of attention
* A family willing to train and further socialize me
* Older kids are okay
* A consistent, calm and loving environment

Experience level:
* Recent experience with an active pup a plus
* Previous experience as a doggy parent required

I’m a little girl with a great big heart who is adorable, loving and playful! Only the most special home will be right for me ‘cause I have so much love to give. Mom says I’d be the perfect companion for just about anyone. So if you are looking for an affectionate pup who would cuddle with you forever, given the chance, then please ask for me.

Tail wags and kisses,

Remarkable, Radiant and Ravishing Rosie

Banjo (recouperating)

June 3, 2023 by Deb Gibb

Hi Everyone,

My name is Brave and Beloved Banjo –and I’m a young (about 2) year old Bichon who got loose and lost and was sadly hit by a car. I was taken to a shelter then to a place called an Emergency Vet.  and it was there that I found out that although I have some broken bones, what I need most of all is to rest in my cage for about another 6 weeks while I heal. Then I can get groomed, neutered and on my way to my Forever Family. My BFK Aunties just wanted you to know about me and will keep you updated on my progress. I thank my foster Mom and Dad and doggy foster sister for taking great care of me in the meantime.
