Hello World!

I’m Snowy and you may have already heard about me as I have legions of fans and I’m a survivor.

I’m a darling little bichon of about 16 months who weighs 12 pounds. Mom says I’m a happy, loving little cuddlebug who loves life and people – and I’m also a spirited, playful pup with a lot of life ahead of me!

When I was born I had this problem called a “liver shunt.” It made me very sick and weak so my family decided to bring me to a shelter and get a healthier puppy instead. I was on the list to cross the Rainbow Bridge when my BFK Aunties swooped in and rescued me. It turns out I could live a wonderful life if I had this very special operation. There are only five veterinarians in the country that can do this operation but we are lucky that one of them is in San Diego.

My Aunties started a fundraiser and guess what! So many amazing people (my beloved fans) raised enough money for me to get the surgery to fix my liver! To make a long story short, I got a second chance at life as a completely healthy, happy go lucky pup! I am even eating normal doggie food now and life is good!

Mom says that wherever I go people stop to ask her about me. That’s because not only am I dashing, but also the sweetest little lovebug you can meet. I thrive on love and belly rubs, and more belly rubs. I can’t get enough of them! And you’ll love giving them!

I adore car rides and food and treats and walks. And children- they love me! If we encounter them on a walk, it turns into a play date! I’m good with other dogs and not an attention hog (like some of the others in my foster home!) I’m almost potty trained, but since I’m still a puppy my human will have to be patient and consistent. I rarely bark and rarely beg. That would be such bad manners!

There are so many, many ways in which I’m special! My Aunties says I’m the best little FurkKid you could ever ask for. I’m sweet and happy and devoted to my people and healthy thanks to my wonderful friends who I’ll never, ever forget!

Hi People,

My name is Merry and Memorable Mikey — and I’m a happy and affectionate pup of eight. I’m a cuddler and a lover, great with the big people called adults and the little ones called children. I’m also good with other dogs (we’re not sure about those creatures called cats though.) My Foster Mom says I always have a smile on my face and am easy to be around – and I prove it to her every day!

I’m a mellow and easy going bichon mix (about 17 pounds) with a big personality! (Mom says I am also VERY smart and I’m doing my best to be modest!) I’m housebroken (love the doggie door!), come when I’m called (I understand that many FurKids don’t do that!) and like to get approval for my newfound skills. In other words, I want to please and I’m easy to train!

My BFK Aunties say I am a good listener and a great companion! I like to be wherever Mom is – but I am never intrusive. If I can lie nearby, that is fine. If I can be in a lap… well that is even better!!! Did I mention that I’m a great walker and a great rider (in the car, that is!). I love to go for long walks and short walks. As long as I can be with my person or family I’m very content!

My story is a sad one but I know it will have a happy ending. You see my family moved away and left me in the house by myself. It got dark and I was scared but I thought they would come back for me. A concerned neighbor heard me whimpering and called Auntie Jean. She jumped in her car and brought me home, telling me a terrific guy like me deserves to be in a loving home and that I will have one now that I’m a FurKid!

Mom says I am a happy and adaptable pup who is always ready for the next adventure, is easy going and patient, smiles all the time and rarely barks! I’m just an affectionate and sweet little guy with a really cute underbite who is even more handsome in person, never complains, loves to give doggy kisses and has a great big loving heart.

Hello World!

My name is Joyous Joey and I’m a cute little guy who is six years young (or is it old?) and simply adorable. Now I’m not bragging but everyone that meets me says I’m a ‘cutie patootie’. I’m not exactly sure what that means but my foster Mom says I’m ‘adorbs’ and that everything I do is adorable!

Mom says I’m 13 pounds of fun – and so happy that I smile – and wag my tail – all the time (except when I’m lying in your arms and cuddling!) Besides being charming, kind, cuddly, delightful and happy, I’m also obedient, playful and want to please! Sound good? Then please read on!

Mom says that I’m equal parts sweet and shy, a darling little guy who just wants to be around you- in your lap, by your side, next to you in bed, on a car ride. As long as I’m with you, I’m fine. Did I mention that I LOVE the carwash – and drive-thrus? When you’re actually driving, I’m pretty calm and love to look out the closed window. At the drive-thru I sometimes growl at the men inside but listen to Mom and am obedient.

Aside from literally looking like a little teddy bear (seriously, if I say, Tom Holland were a dog, it would be me!), my best quality is that I’m just a great little friend. (And I promise I’ll be the bestest companion to some lucky person or couple!)

While I am shy at first, I’m finding that there are lots of pretty special human beings in this world that I can like and who like me! I’m learning that love and attention are good things! Mom is helping me become more comfortable with new people – and I’m generally better with women than men. That’s because I’m what she says is ‘discerning’ — but a gentle man can probably win me over. Oh! and I’ve discovered that ear scratches and belly rubs are pretty neat! So sign me up for more of them, please!

Mom calls me “Super Glue” because I bonded with her in about two seconds. She says I’m a happy, sweet, and social little love bug and a pretty typical bichon in many ways. So you will not be surprised to know that I like to play, go for walks and participate in all that life has to offer!

Did I mention that I’m housebroken (no typo there) and am also learning commands! Why I already come when I’m called (that’s more than some of my bichon cousins do!) and I’m learning “sit.”

So if you are looking for a darling pup, with lots of promise, are willing to continue my training (I want to become the best little guy that I can be), are active, home most of the time and like to do lots of things, I’m applying to be your new best friend.

Hello Everyone!

My name is Lovable, Lively Lacey — and I am a darling little havanese puppy who is 10 months young (or is it 10 months old?) I’m a little femme fatale of a puppy who will be a wonderful addition to any family. My foster mom says that as cute as I am, I’m equally loving. While I love to play with my foster fur buddies (both dogs and cats), I also love to just sit in your lap and be petted. Mom says that I also love to “help” her when she works at her computer, when I’m not playing with my doggy foster ‘siblings’, that is! And did I mention that I love to play fetch and love my ball? Well I DO love to play with my ball – and play, and play, and play!

Oh and then there are walks. I LOVE to walk! And rides! You guessed it! I LOVE to ride in the car! Mom says I’m the bestest co-pilot ever. I help her get to wherever we are going!

Dad says I’m housebroken (I even tell him when I need to go out!), learning commands (I’ve already mastered ‘sit’ and am working on others!) am friendly, smart and gentle. He says I love to give doggy kisses to everyone I meet – and that everyone who sees me comments on how gorgeous and adorable I am. Dad says I’m very good at stealing hearts (I told Dad I’m a good girl and I would never steal anything. He just smiles and pats my head.)

Mom says that I’m also a treasure – and that I have the best disposition in the world!!! She thinks I would do best in a family with another young active furkid and respectful children– and that only the most special family will be right for me! Mom knows that there is one waiting to adopt this darling little bichon girl.

Hello New Friends,

My name is Magnificent Marnie and I’m a beautiful and amazingly happy Bichon girl who is as affectionate as I am adorable. (Now, I’m not bragging! That’s what everyone says about me!) I’m a friendly six year old girl with a sweet face to match my sweet spirit – and the most beautiful brown eyes that look deeply into your soul. I’m also a bigger girl (about 20+ pounds) but I’m all lean muscle and simply beautiful!

While I love to play with my toys, I also love to sit on your lap and cuddle (and maybe even catch a few winks.) I could stay there all day ‘cause I like to give (and receive) love. Mom says I’m a pretty, feminine and delightful pup who is beautiful, sweet and loving.

My BFK Aunties say that I’m attentive and adoring — and that I truly enjoy LIFE. If I’m with my doggy foster siblings, I get along with them–however being with my special person or people is more important to me.

I’m also a unique combination — of love and spunk! I love humans of all ages, shapes and sizes – from wee people to big people and everything in between. I’m also independent, energetic and self-reliant! While I can run and walk with ‘the best of them’ I’m also mellow and simply one of the world’s best companions!

When I came into rescue I was a bit ‘discombobulated’ as I had lost my home, family and the pups I was living with. My ‘original mom’ thought I would do fine being the center of someone’s attention as she loved me very much but had very little time to spend with me or any of her pups. She had two toddlers and a fulltime job so we know that I get along with small children too.

Hello New Best Friends!

My name is Precious Patches – and I’m a sweetheart of a bichon. I’m 2 (years old that is) and a perky and playful guy weighing 17 pounds. My Aunties called me Patches because I have a beautiful white coat and patches of apricot on my ears and body.

My foster Mom says I’m a great communicator who is also happy and very affectionate. When I first wake up in the morning I go directly to Mom for my ‘morning cuddles.’ I look her in the face and smile (Mom says I do that all the time – smile that is!) wait to be brushed and petted, then snuggle for all I’m worth – and that’s a lot. I also like to stand up and put my paws on her as if asking for a hug. That’s why Mom says I’m a great communicator who communicates my affection very well.

Did I mention that I’m super smart, know commands (including where to potty) and that I love dogs, those funny creatures called cats (yes, truly I do. They outnumber me 4 to 1 in my foster home so that’s pretty amazing!) I also love people, walks, rides in the car (anytime and anywhere! – and I’m amazing at a drive-thru) Why I’m just about the most perfect companion in the world! Well, that is unless you are a giraffe, a hippo or a tiger. (Mom says I’m being a little silly but she knows what I mean!)

I have a very sweet energy and love to walk. I’m always aware of where people are and what they are doing. That goes for the cats, too. I’m also very brave, trusting and have very good manners. I’m a pup waiting for friends with whom I can play. Mom says I desperately want to play with other dogs. There are dogs on all sides of Mom’s back fence. I SO want to be with them! One of them runs up and down the fence with me. That’s not the same as playing but I know my day is coming! I’m waiting for a BFF dog friend with whom I can run, romp and have a good time.

One of the things that makes me special is that I’m very sensitive. I pick up on people’s feelings and want them to be happy. Mom says that makes me special! And I’m special in another way too. When I first became a FurKid I was pretty sick. I had this infection that had eaten away part of my nose and it was very, very sore. Mom took me to this really neat person called an ‘animal dermatologist’. He’s what she calls a specialist. He’s giving me medicine to help my nose heal. He says in a few weeks my nose will be much better and not hurt any more. I’ll be glad when that happens and am happy to report that it’s feeling better already.

I’m a people-friendly guy who is eager to please, very smart (and aware) and a major cuddle bug. I’m awfully good at a lot of things and smart enough to learn more! What I really need now is a forever family to call my own and a FurKid buddy to be my friend. I like children too so a FurKid buddy and a child would be doubly great!
