Hello World!

I’m Snowy and you may have already heard about me as I have legions of fans and I’m a survivor.

I’m a darling little bichon of about 16 months who weighs 12 pounds. Mom says I’m a happy, loving little cuddlebug who loves life and people – and I’m also a spirited, playful pup with a lot of life ahead of me!

When I was born I had this problem called a “liver shunt.” It made me very sick and weak so my family decided to bring me to a shelter and get a healthier puppy instead. I was on the list to cross the Rainbow Bridge when my BFK Aunties swooped in and rescued me. It turns out I could live a wonderful life if I had this very special operation. There are only five veterinarians in the country that can do this operation but we are lucky that one of them is in San Diego.

My Aunties started a fundraiser and guess what! So many amazing people (my beloved fans) raised enough money for me to get the surgery to fix my liver! To make a long story short, I got a second chance at life as a completely healthy, happy go lucky pup! I am even eating normal doggie food now and life is good!

Mom says that wherever I go people stop to ask her about me. That’s because not only am I dashing, but also the sweetest little lovebug you can meet. I thrive on love and belly rubs, and more belly rubs. I can’t get enough of them! And you’ll love giving them!

I adore car rides and food and treats and walks. And children- they love me! If we encounter them on a walk, it turns into a play date! I’m good with other dogs and not an attention hog (like some of the others in my foster home!) I’m almost potty trained, but since I’m still a puppy my human will have to be patient and consistent. I rarely bark and rarely beg. That would be such bad manners!

There are so many, many ways in which I’m special! My Aunties says I’m the best little FurkKid you could ever ask for. I’m sweet and happy and devoted to my people and healthy thanks to my wonderful friends who I’ll never, ever forget!

Hi People,

My name is Merry and Memorable Mikey — and I’m a happy and affectionate pup of eight. I’m a cuddler and a lover, great with the big people called adults and the little ones called children. I’m also good with other dogs (we’re not sure about those creatures called cats though.) My Foster Mom says I always have a smile on my face and am easy to be around – and I prove it to her every day!

I’m a mellow and easy going bichon mix (about 17 pounds) with a big personality! (Mom says I am also VERY smart and I’m doing my best to be modest!) I’m housebroken (love the doggie door!), come when I’m called (I understand that many FurKids don’t do that!) and like to get approval for my newfound skills. In other words, I want to please and I’m easy to train!

My BFK Aunties say I am a good listener and a great companion! I like to be wherever Mom is – but I am never intrusive. If I can lie nearby, that is fine. If I can be in a lap… well that is even better!!! Did I mention that I’m a great walker and a great rider (in the car, that is!). I love to go for long walks and short walks. As long as I can be with my person or family I’m very content!

My story is a sad one but I know it will have a happy ending. You see my family moved away and left me in the house by myself. It got dark and I was scared but I thought they would come back for me. A concerned neighbor heard me whimpering and called Auntie Jean. She jumped in her car and brought me home, telling me a terrific guy like me deserves to be in a loving home and that I will have one now that I’m a FurKid!

Mom says I am a happy and adaptable pup who is always ready for the next adventure, is easy going and patient, smiles all the time and rarely barks! I’m just an affectionate and sweet little guy with a really cute underbite who is even more handsome in person, never complains, loves to give doggy kisses and has a great big loving heart.

Hello New Best Friends!

My name is Precious Patches – and I’m a sweetheart of a bichon. I’m 2 (years old that is) and a perky and playful guy weighing 17 pounds. My Aunties called me Patches because I have a beautiful white coat and patches of apricot on my ears and body.

My foster Mom says I’m a great communicator who is also happy and very affectionate. When I first wake up in the morning I go directly to Mom for my ‘morning cuddles.’ I look her in the face and smile (Mom says I do that all the time – smile that is!) wait to be brushed and petted, then snuggle for all I’m worth – and that’s a lot. I also like to stand up and put my paws on her as if asking for a hug. That’s why Mom says I’m a great communicator who communicates my affection very well.

Did I mention that I’m super smart, know commands (including where to potty) and that I love dogs, those funny creatures called cats (yes, truly I do. They outnumber me 4 to 1 in my foster home so that’s pretty amazing!) I also love people, walks, rides in the car (anytime and anywhere! – and I’m amazing at a drive-thru) Why I’m just about the most perfect companion in the world! Well, that is unless you are a giraffe, a hippo or a tiger. (Mom says I’m being a little silly but she knows what I mean!)

I have a very sweet energy and love to walk. I’m always aware of where people are and what they are doing. That goes for the cats, too. I’m also very brave, trusting and have very good manners. I’m a pup waiting for friends with whom I can play. Mom says I desperately want to play with other dogs. There are dogs on all sides of Mom’s back fence. I SO want to be with them! One of them runs up and down the fence with me. That’s not the same as playing but I know my day is coming! I’m waiting for a BFF dog friend with whom I can run, romp and have a good time.

One of the things that makes me special is that I’m very sensitive. I pick up on people’s feelings and want them to be happy. Mom says that makes me special! And I’m special in another way too. When I first became a FurKid I was pretty sick. I had this infection that had eaten away part of my nose and it was very, very sore. Mom took me to this really neat person called an ‘animal dermatologist’. He’s what she calls a specialist. He’s giving me medicine to help my nose heal. He says in a few weeks my nose will be much better and not hurt any more. I’ll be glad when that happens and am happy to report that it’s feeling better already.

I’m a people-friendly guy who is eager to please, very smart (and aware) and a major cuddle bug. I’m awfully good at a lot of things and smart enough to learn more! What I really need now is a forever family to call my own and a FurKid buddy to be my friend. I like children too so a FurKid buddy and a child would be doubly great! Precious, Personable and Perky Patches

Hello Everyone!

My name is Cuddly, Charismatic and Carefree Charlie — and I’m a bichon sweetheart of 16 pounds and two years old with love in my heart for everyone. I’m an adorable guy who is a cuddler and a lover, great with other dogs, good natured and simply wonderful with people. My foster mom says I’m a very sweet boy, playful, spunky and adventurous (you can ask Mom about that) — and there is no doubt that I am VERY smart! I figure things out really fast and really want to please!

And I’m Archie, a sweet, family-loving and good natured little puppy of seven months – about 13 pounds of love with a great personality and a happy smile. While I’m not ‘xactly a bichon, I am a darling little guy who doesn’t shed. I have a cream colored coat, apricot colored ears, am almost fully grown and am a mix of doxy, probably cocker and cuteness.

You see, (this is Charlie speaking) Archie and I got together and decided that we were a perfect match. We both like to play, run, fetch – and cuddle! We are housebroken, learning commands, LOVE to go for rides in the car and (of course!) lots of walks!! So many people asked about us individually but didn’t have a pup that was the right energy and fun level… so we met and it was perfect!

We are both sweet and fun to have around. We both like to run and sun in the yard, enjoy the company of kids and adults and certainly enjoy one another. So we are now a bonded pair who will bring great joy and happiness to anyone who adopts us.

We both always wag our tails to show that we’re happy – plus we are loyal and friendly! And while we do everything well there is one thing we do exceptionally well: we are the perfect companions!

Hello People!

My name is Blissful Bogey and I’m a beloved bichon who is 13 pounds of love and fun. My foster Mom says I’ve got a spring in my step and a wag of my tail for everyone I meet! I have big soulful eyes that look into your soul – and melt your heart. I’m also known for having a calm way about me. But that doesn’t mean I’m a couch potato. No siree! Mom says when I get up in the morning I’m like a young colt who wants to gallop. Then I settle into a more relaxing routine.

And did I mention that I’m well behaved, eager to please and love attention? (Mom says that proves I’m a true bichon and she smiles when she says that!) You see, I’m a man of the world, about 11 or 12, who is known for loving his walks, enjoying his belly rubs and being a GREAT companion.

While I enjoy the company of other fluffs like myself, I’m also ready to be the center of someone’s world. My BFK Aunties say my heart beats for love and attention and I also enjoy the company of other small pups. They make me feel safe and wanted!

Mom says I have all the charms of a Bichon. That said, I suppose I should mention that I am, of course, housebroken, cuddly and enjoy rides in the car. I love all the things that Bichons do: walks, treats, cuddles, and naps. And in return for all those good things I am a wealth of quiet affection.

Before I became a FurKid I lived with a couple. We thought we would grow old together – but they grew old and didn’t maintain their health. So they went to a place called Heaven and the family took me to a place called a shelter. It was there that I languished and wondered if I would ever find a person of my own again… and then I got lucky and became a FurKid.

Hello People!

My name is Bree and I’m a beautiful, sweet and loving little Bichon girl of one (year that is.) My foster Mom says I’m 15 pounds of love in a very cute package.

Mom says that if I had a theme song it would be “Girls just want to have fun!” I cannot contain my joy for life! When I walk, I actually leap by Mom’s side. And wherever I go I’m quite the hit, as I’m very social. With new people I can be a bit shy initially but that passes quickly. I’m also equally comfortable with men or women and truly love both my foster parents.

I’m such a happy and fun-loving pup that everyone wants to play with me. I’m great with other dogs, both big and small. I truly LOVE to play with my doggy foster brother and he loves to play with me, too! At the beach I love to run and have an amazing time! You can tell that I adore being with other young pups like myself and enjoy their company! Life as a FurKid is really great!

Did I mention that I’m a lover and a snuggler? I like to snuggle with people (Mom and I do that really well!) – and I like to snuggle with my toys. Mom says I’m the world’s best snuggler. Don’t I sound irresistible?

I’m smart, VERY loving, devoted and want to please. I mastered the doggy door easily, love to go on my walks and also love to go for car rides (I’m just terrific in the car). Why there is probably no better company when you have to do something than me. I’m the perfect pup for that “job”!

I’m a sweet, dear little bichon who is so grateful to be rescued, deserves a GREAT home, and will make some lucky family very happy! And, by the way, if you want to spell my name, it’s B is for Beguiling, R for Respectful, E for Expressive and E for Excellent. I’m all of these things in abundance (plus we need an S for Snuggly!)
