Hello People,
My name is Cody and I’m a cute, calm and charming bichon mix of about eight, years that is, who excels at being your companion. I’m LOYAL in capital letters, LOVING (in a very sweet and quiet way) and a very mellow fellow!
My foster Mom is teaching me about walks and I’ve learned that they are a fun experience. I get to smell lots of things and see a few pups and people on our walks (I’m an approachable kind of guy (from a ‘social distance’ that is.) We walk about five miles a day (Mom says I walk really nicely on a leash and could walk forever.) Pups and people seem to like me (even the ones that don’t like other dogs but I’m pretty independent so I don’t necessarily need another pup.) I also enjoy riding in the car and lie quietly on the seat, enjoying the experience.
I’m housebroken which Mom says is a very good thing, and am so good that I get to sleep in the Big People’s Bed. And you know what? I like to sleep in! Mom says she gets up way before I do, has her coffee, watches TV then comes to get me for our morning outing. I tell her that sleeping in and feeling safe is such a great thing that I’m in no hurry to get up!
Mom also wants you to know that I am blossoming more and more every day (Silly Mom! I’m not a flower, I’m a FurKid!) and that I respond 1000% to human kindness. I appreciate every (good) thing that happens for and to me. I’m quite content to sit quietly on the couch next to you, happy to accept as many belly rubs as you want to give me. And if you want to brush or groom me, well, I’ll just sit next to you for hours doing what Mom calls “a bichon purr.” I just love (and appreciate) the attention. And looking handsome is nice, too!
My very favorite thing in the world is to be loved and to give it back. Mom says I am a sweet and happy guy who appreciates attention – but doesn’t demand it. (I especially appreciate all the nice things Mom says about me and how kind she is!) I need somebody to give me lots of love – and I give it right back too.

*MUST have daily eye drops
*Someone home most of the time
*Adults or a family with kids over 7
Experience level:
*Had dogs as an adult
*Recent/current dog experience
There is no doubt that I’m a special and loyal bichon who is longing to make someone very happy.
