Fostered in Riverside County
***
Hi New friends,
My name is Cricket and I’d like to introduce myself. I’m a cuddly, bashful, sweet and super cute little bichon of about 4, tipping the scales at only 9 lbs. My foster Mom says that you can look deep into my soulful brown eyes and just see all the love that is there, waiting to share with the right person.
Mom tells me that just about everyone agrees that I am a cutie patudie (Thanks, Mom!), but I want you to know that I am also a very lucky guy. Let’s start by explaining why I am so lucky. Before I was a furkid, I lived with very little human attention. I never walked on a leash, rode in the car, got to sit on laps, be pet, or learn any commands. I didn’t get groomed or know any love at all. I even lived on the street for a while, and let me tell you, that was very scary, especially for someone as little as I am. But all that changed for me a few weeks ago. Now, I have this great foster home, and I am learning to trust and to know what love is for the first time.

Each day I’m making up for lost time. I’m learning new things and exploring the world around me. In no time at all I have learned the joy of cuddles and scratches from Mom and playing with toys…I especially like when she throws the toy and I get to chase it. And while I can be cautious at first, once I’m comfortable, I love to play with other gentle dogs, and I even don’t mind those strange creatures called cats. I sleep comfortably in my crate at night and have been good with my housebreaking
Mom wants you to know that I am kind of shy with new people and it takes me a bit to warm up, but once that happens I am your friend for life. I am learning that there is a lot of good in the world and that I deserve that kind of goodness., so what do you think? Even though I had a rough start, I am ready to find my special someone who is patient and can guide me to become the special pup I was always meant to be.
