Hello Everyone!

Please allow me to introduce myself: I’m Darci, a sweet, affectionate little bichon girl of 5 or 6 (years, that is) who is playful, trusting, and very loving! In other words, I’m the “complete package”. Oh, silly me, I’m not a package at all—but I hope you get the picture.

Mom says I look like a perfectly toasted marshmallow as I’m mostly white with a bit of golden coloring on my back. She thinks that makes me even cuter than cute – and I agree!

If you’re looking for a dog who loves people, I might be the answer to your prayers. I adore everyone I meet! Family members, visitors, teenagers, children, neighbors, even workers in the yard (and that says a LOT!). I greet everyone as if they are my very favorite person. That makes everyone feel good and, of course, they fall in love with me!

One of my favorite things to do is dance. When my people come home, I get so excited that I hop up on my hind legs, twirl around, and wrap my paws around their waists to say hello. Mom and Dad laugh and tell me I’m quite the entertainer. I’m not sure what that means, but I do know that making people smile is one of my favorite hobbies.

I also love to run and play in the backyard. Sometimes I play fetch all by myself! I’ll toss my ball into the air, chase after it, roll around in the grass, then start all over again. Life is just too exciting not to enjoy every minute of it. I do everything enthusiastically!

I get along wonderfully with other dogs and enjoy having canine friends around. I’m a moderate-energy girl who loves yard time and playtime, but I also know how to settle down and relax in the evening. At bedtime, my favorite place is right between Mom and Dad at the head of the bed, where I can be close to my people.

I’m completely housebroken, ride nicely in the car, and walk politely on a leash. Now, I should probably confess something. I get very excited when I hear the word “walk,” but when it’s actually time to go, I sometimes decide the backyard sounds more interesting. Usually, I only want to walk a short distance before heading back home. Exploring my yard is much more my style!

I have a great appetite and never miss a meal. In fact, if you have a dog who likes to leave food sitting around all day, you’ll want to make sure I can’t “help” them (finish it, that is. Mom is helping me to work on maintaining my girlish figure!)

My Ideal Home:

* A nice, secure yard for running and exploring
* Children, teenagers, or adults who enjoy being showered with love

I’m a happy, well-adjusted little girl with a heart full of love and a tail that rarely stops wagging.
