Fostered in San Diego
****
Hello World!
I’m Precious and Petite Peaches, a five- or six-year-old Maltipoo with a pretty cream-and-peach colored coat, an adorable smile (yes, I do smile), and a HUGE heart that’s longing to be part of a family! I’m sweet, polite and mellow (and sometimes a tiny bit shy when we first meet). Once I get to know you, it will be like we’ve been friends forever. I’m not too clingy and not too independent. Mom says I’ve found that “just-right recipe” for being the perfect companion!
My foster family says I have a very special talent making sure I’m included in all the important family activities. If the humans are sitting together, you can bet I’ll find my way right into the middle of them! (Why sit on the sidelines when there’s room in the family cuddle circle? I want to be part of my pack, thank you very much!)

I’m a pretty good observer, too! When my human foster brother lies on the floor or bed, I sometimes copy him by stretching out right beside him and showing off my belly. (Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, right?) I guess you could say I’m learning the family routine one adorable little move at a time. Before long, I’ll have you wondering who’s teaching whom!
There is no doubt that I’m wonderful with children. My foster brother’s friends visit regularly, and I’m happy to have them around. I’m also friendly with adults and people called “visitors.” Dad says I’m a quiet, well-mannered girl who only barks when there’s a reason. I see no need to make a big announcement every time someone walks past the window — I prefer to keep things polite!
I get along well with other dogs, enjoy walks and playing in the yard, and have an activity level that’s just right for a family that likes to get outside without needing to train for a marathon. I’m also housebroken, and I know “come” and “wait.” I haven’t practiced other commands yet, but I’m smart and eager to learn.

Now, let me tell you about car rides. I’m happy to travel and do well in my crate, where I can settle in safely for the journey. But if I’m not crated, I may decide that your lap is the very best seat in the car! Little Peaches traveling in style is one thing; Peaches trying to help drive is quite another!
I do love being with my people! When my foster brother heads to school in the morning, I may whimper a little, then go upstairs to look out the window. I get over the ‘missing’ part but do like knowing where my family is and what everyone is doing. Mom says that’s just my sweet little heart reminding me that being part of a family means everything to me.
My family describes me as sweet, mellow, polite, and fluffy. (I’m especially proud of that last one. A girl needs her signature feature!) At only 13 pounds, I’m quite portable and ready to go wherever you want to go!
