Hi Everybody.

I’m Rascally and Resilient Remie, a handsome Bichon boy who is friendly, affectionate, cuddly, mellow and beyond all that silly puppy nonsense. I’m more of a man of the world, nine years old and 13 pounds, who is known for loving his walks, enjoying rides, promoting his belly rubs and being a great companion.

Mom and Dad agree that I have managed to maintain all the charms of a Bichon, so don’t think that this boy is past his prime by any means. That being said, I suppose I should mention that I am housebroken, a master cuddler and communicator (More on that in a minute) I love all the things that Bichons do:  treats, cuddles, and naps. In return for all those good things, I am a wealth of quiet affection.

I love to go for walks and rides in the car – and I began to miss them a lot. You see my “Original Mom” had a stroke and couldn’t do those things with me anymore. So she hired some wonderful ladies who took me for walks and spent time with me. As her health continued to fail, Original Mom made the most difficult decision a loving dog mom could make. She knew I had a lot of spirit and spunk and that it wasn’t fair for me to be confined to a house all the time (I would never complain). Mom decided she needed to ‘relinquish me’ so I could be in a home again where I could do the things we used to do together.

So, as difficult as that decision was for Mom, I became a FurKid. I now have these wonderful people called ‘Foster Parents’ who think I’m quite delightful. They say that there are a lot of really cute things about me. I love to be picked up to cuddle. In fact, I’ll stand up patiently next to you and ask to be picked up. (If you don’t get it the first time I’ll continue to wait until you do!) In addition (here comes the communication part), I love to listen to you talk! I want to hear what you’re saying, see what you are doing and be part of everything that’s going on. Mom says I will follow her and Dad around the house like a little lamb, listening intently and being a part of the family.

My BFK Aunties say I am being too modest.  They say I can be curious and funny and know how to get what I want. I’m not into strenuous activity – but I do like and enjoy my walks.  I’m also perfectly happy roaming leisurely around the backyard. And while I don’t do wind sprints like I did when I was a youngster, my heart still beats for love and attention.

My Ideal Home:

*Someone home most of the time
*No other FurKids required
*Adults without preferred

Experience level:

*Have had dogs as an adult
*Recent/current dog experience a plus

I’m hoping that you can appreciate the qualities of a beautiful adult Bichon – and will enfold me into your life.  I have so much love and companionship to give.
