Hello New Friends,

I’m Remarkable and Radiant Rooney, and I’m looking for a forever lap to call my own. I’m a two-year-old, 15-pound bundle of fun with soft white hair and stylish brown marking (on my face and ears) and I’m a very handsome and attentive little guy.

My foster parents call me a “velcro dog” or “shadow,” but I think of myself as your personal blanket. My mission in life is to love you with my whole heart –and I do that very well. If you’re in the kitchen, I’ll be there to keep you company. If you’re heading to take a shower, I’ll wait for you. And if you’re on the couch? Well, that’s where the magic happens. I love being held like a baby, cradled in your arms for tummy rubs and listening intently while you tell me what a good boy I am.

A few of my favorite things:

• The Lean: I love to lean my body into yours and tuck my head under your chin for the ultimate hug.
• Sleeping: I’m a good sleeper! While I’m great in my crate, I’d prefer to snooze on a blanket at the foot of your bed. I’m so well behaved that I’m hoping I can sleep on the Big People’s Bed in my Forever Home.
• Playtime: I’m quiet and polite, but when the toys come out, I turn into a “bouncy, hopping and playful boy.” I love a good game of chase and am quite adept at it!
• Friends: I get along great with other dogs and I’m totally cool with cats. I can be a little bit of an attention hog, though—I just want all your love for myself!

While I can be a little shy when meeting new people or going on walks, I do warm up pretty quickly. I’m looking for a family that will be patient with me while I build my confidence. I’m also a bit of an explorer, so please keep an eye on me when the front door opens—I just want to follow you everywhere!

I’m working really hard on my potty training (I’m about 70% there and getting better every day!). I also know my name and commands like “potty,” “treat,” and “breakfast.” And I’m willing to learn more as I really like to please my people!

My Ideal Home:
*Someone home most of the time 
*I am happy to live with another dog or I can be the only pup in the home         
*Someone who will take me on lots of walks so I can explore the neighborhood, then come home and cuddle

Experience level:
*Have had dogs as an adult
*Recent/current dog experience a plus
