Hi People,

I’m a sweet little fluffy fellow named Sammy who is four years old, weighs a petite 8½ pounds, and is simply adorable. My foster Mom says I have two settings: ON…and CHILL. (Personally, I think that’s a pretty perfect way to go through life!)

Mom also says I’m sweet, happy, curious, cuddly, kissy and one very SMART little guy. In fact, I’ve already learned to sit like a champ! (At first, I was a little more interested in getting to my food than showing off my manners, but now, when Mom tells me to “sit” before breakfast or dinner, I plant my little bottom right on the floor and wait patiently. Of course, I may have been motivated by the delicious meal that appears afterward because a fellow has to have priorities!)

Speaking of meals…I have a signature move that never fails to make everyone smile. Whether it’s time for breakfast or dinner, I do the cutest little dance on my hind legs because, well, I’m just so excited! Mom and Dad think it’s adorable—and honestly, I agree.

When I’m not showing off my dance moves, I’m happiest being wherever my people are. I absolutely LOVE belly rubs, giving little doggy kisses, curling up in your lap, or snuggling right beside you while we relax together. In fact, if you’re looking for a little shadow with a big heart, I could be the one for you!

I enjoy being part of the dog pack here and get along well with my foster brothers. I also love meeting people, and I think making new friends is one of my superpowers. I also ride very nicely in the car, especially in my snoozer seat, where I can look out the window and watch the world go by. It’s like my own little sightseeing adventure!

I’m housebroken, sleep all night quietly in my crate (it’s actually one of my favorite cozy spots), and I don’t mind being left alone with my doggy foster siblings for reasonable amounts of time. On walks, I sometimes like to let other dogs—or even people Mom is chatting with—know that I’m there. I might give a little bark or two. Mom says we’ll keep working on my “public relations skills,” but she says I’m a quick learner, so I think I’ve got this!

My activity level is just right. I enjoy walks, a little playtime in the yard, and then I’m perfectly content to switch over to my favorite pastime: cuddling. Remember those two settings? I wasn’t kidding!

My Ideal Home:

• Someone who wants a loving little companion to share life with
• A family that enjoys walks, cuddles, and lots of together time
• Another small, friendly dog would be wonderful, but I could also be happy as your one-and-only if you promise to spoil me with love

Experience Level:

• Have had dogs as an adult
• Current or recent dog experience is a plus
• Willing to continue helping this smart little guy learn new things
