Hi New Friends!
My name is Susie and I’m a pretty and pretty famous bichon. The pretty part you can see from my photos so now on to the famous part. Well you see I was a little pup (12 pounds) with a huge mass (2½ pounds if you please) who was left at a shelter. I was so sick and scared and ready to give up. I had been living that way for many, many months. At the shelter I then developed this thing called pneumonia. (That’s even scary for a healthy pup) but… here comes the good part: My BFK Aunties swooped in, brought me out of that shelter, arranged for my surgeries and told people about me (that’s the famous part!) I was rescued!
My foster Mom says since my surgery my tail never stops wagging– and I’m feeling so much better that I really want attention. One of the things I do to get attention is to jump up on my hind legs and ‘gently’ tap you on the arm (It works ‘cause I’m so cute!) I’ve also got my “spirit” back –and I’ve become a bit of a tease. I particularly like finding my doggy foster sister’s favorite toys… and stealing them! I take them to my bed and proudly display them for the world – and her- to see. (She wants to steal them back, of course, so it’s game on!) – However I am a bit of a darling diva so I’d really prefer to have my own toys and no other doggy companions in my home.
Dad says I’ve also become a bit of a social butterfly recently. (I tell him I’m not a butterfly at all – I’m a FurKid!) Well, I was at a party with lots of the people they call adults and I had an amazing time going from person to person and lap to lap. There weren’t any children there however my BFK Aunties don’t believe I will be good with children but I certainly do well with adults.
At 8 years of age I have a lot more adventures and experiences ahead of me and I can’t wait to have them with my forever family.
