Hello New Friends,
My name is Sweeney the Sweetie — and if you’re looking for a silly, sweet, playful, and curious little guy who loves both zoomies and snuggles, I might just be the one for you. I’m about 3 years old, 11 pounds, and full of charm. My soft white hair and little tan markings make me incredibly adorable, too.
I’m a toy enthusiast and a one-dog entertainment show! I love tossing toys in the air, chasing after them, and even playing by myself when no one’s around (my foster mom caught me on camera zooming and barking with joy at my toys on the couch!). When I’m happy, I run like the wind and do zoomies that will make you laugh every single time. And when it’s cuddle time, I’ll climb into your arms, wrap my little paws around you like a koala bear, and cover you in gentle kisses.
I’m curious and affectionate, but I do things on my own terms. I warm up slowly initially — then shower you with love once I feel secure. I’m living with a creature called a cat right now and do just fine (sometimes I even try to play!). I haven’t met any of those creatures called ‘young children’ yet, but I’d probably feel more comfortable with older, calmer children (fast movements can make me nervous.)
Car rides are a favorite—I ride calmly in my little doggie car seat, happily looking out the window before settling in for the ride. Did I mention that I’m about 95% housebroken and learning quickly (Mom has a consistent schedule, and since I’m very smart, I’ve learned quickly!) I’m also food-motivated, so training me is pretty easy, and I’m already mastering commands like “come” and “sit.” They are next on my list of accomplishments.
I’m a healthy boy, active and full of life, though I can be a bit timid around loud noises or sudden movements. I sometimes whine briefly when my person leaves, but then settle very quickly. And there’s no doubt that I’m gaining confidence every day and just need a loving home where I can continue to blossom.
My Ideal Home MUST Have:
– A gentle, patient family who’ll let me build confidence at my own pace
– Lots of toys (especially squeaky ones!) and space for zoomies
– A cozy spot to snuggle when playtime is over
Experience Level:
– A family familiar with shy or cautious pups
– Loving, patient adopters ready to help me keep learning
I’m silly, sweet, curious, and oh-so-loving once I’ve gotten to know and trust you. If you’re looking for a little companion who’ll make you laugh, keep you company, and hold onto your heart (and maybe your arm like a koala too!), then I’m your boy.
With tail wags and toy tosses,
Sweeney the Sweetheart
