Fostered in San Diego County
****
Hello World,
I’m Andy, a pint-sized, adorable, gentle, happy, tail-wagging little Bichon guy of about 1½ (years, that is.) My foster Dad says that I’m a kind, gentle and affectionate little guy (I weigh not quite 11 pounds) who is in love with life. I have big brown eyes that look into your soul and a smile that will touch your heart.
My BFK Aunties say I’m a ‘portable’. That means I’m little and you can take me anywhere!
I have a doggy foster sister and several doggy foster brothers but I am happiest when I can be the center of someone’s attention. While I can play and fit in nicely with the other FurKids, I can entertain myself equally well. I’m what you call an ‘only,’ which is pretty rare for a bichon, from what I hear.
There are lots of things in my new life that I truly love. For example I love to ride in the car! And I love to go for walks. These are new experiences for me. Did I mention that I also love learning commands? I’ve already learned my name and now am working on ‘SIT’ before I eat or get a treat! Mom says that I am S-M-A-R-T! She has to spell it because she doesn’t want me to get a swelled head. And since I am food-motivated, it’s easy to teach me anything.
But what I love most of all is…cuddling! Why, I have a black belt in cuddling and a blue belt in snuggling. Want to read a book or watch a movie? I will lie quietly near or on you (you won’t know I’m there) and enjoy your company.
My hair is growing back soft and silky and white. Soon I’ll be a little white cotton ball of a bichon. Because I’m very confident, I do well meeting new people, I just wag my tail and say ‘Hello’, ready to make new friends. Dad says I have the cutest way of wiggling when I walk too. I almost look like I’m walking sideways ‘cause I my body wiggles so much. (It’s truly adorable to watch!)
Mom says I’m very loving and very loyal. She says when she or Dad comes home I am very excited and welcoming. (What can I say? I love my Mom and Dad a lot! Their kindness is something I so appreciate!) They are teaching me that there’s a lot of good in the world and that I truly deserve that kind of goodness!
My Ideal Home:
*A loving home
*Someone home most of the time
*Adults or a family
*No other FurKids required (I want to be the center of someone’s world!)
Experience level:
*Have had dogs as an adult
*Recent/current dog experience a plus
So if you are looking for a sweetheart to join your family and be a part of everything you do, I am applying for the job. Dad says you will never find anyone better- and that anyone would be lucky to adopt me.
Hope we can meet soon!
Absolutely Adorable Andy

We are both potty trained and crate trained. (Dad calls it my ‘man cave’) and I certainly enjoy spending time with those little people called ‘children’. I’m much better with them than Lucy. She prefers being with the ones called ‘adults’. We are also very curious about the world– and how things work. Every day is another opportunity to learn more ways to make the humans around us smile.

Mom says I’m a great walker who loves cool mornings and early evenings. I like to take long walks around the lake –and love meeting people and pups along the way. Going to the dog park is also one of my most special things to do. It truly makes my day! There are always new friends to get to know and both the ones called ‘humans’ and those called ‘pups’ all fall in love with me (The two-legged ones tell Mom and Dad how amazing I am, too!)

My foster Mom says I’m very intelligent (I know commands including come, stay, sit, down, dance (twirl your finger), go potty, down, and ball. In fact, I will definitely become your new best friend if you play ball with me! My foster Dad says to tell you that I LOVE LOVE LOVE to play ball (did I mention that already? Well I truly do!), LOVE to go on walks, LOVE to ride in the car and LOVE treats. And I LOVE to be petted and will roll over for a belly rub any time and anywhere!
I love to cuddle on the couch, greet you with great enthusiasm (even if you only go to the mailbox) share everything you are doing with you and am a great watchdog. I will alert you if I hear anything outside, let you know the doorbell was rung or if there is a strange noise in the house. Dad says that’s very helpful. I’m not a barker though – just an ‘alerter’.
My sister Patti and I became FurKids after someone dropped us at a shelter without our mom. We were pretty scared, but fortunately, we didn’t have to stay there very long. Then our foster Mom and Dad picked us up and brought us to their home, where there were several pups, including one that was a Momma dog! She is teaching me all about how to be the best little pup I can be. My sister Patti was recently adopted, but I am still available!
