Fostered in San Diego
***
Hi People!
I’m Theo—, and I’m a fabulous four-year-old fluffy pup who is probably part Corgi and part poodle. I have big black eyes and a beautiful three-colored coat: black, white, and grey. I have hair, not fur, and little short legs, so my fosters have nicknamed me Stubbs, but they say it with love.
My foster Dad calls me “Super Glue” because I bonded with him in about two seconds.
He says I seem to prefer men (although I do fine with some women) and will approach them with love and affection. He says I like to greet him by standing on my hind legs and then waiting for him to pet me. If he’s seated, I rest my paws on his legs and ask to be put on his lap so we can cuddle.
There is no doubt that I can be a real love bug with someone I adore! While I can be a bit quirky, I now love when people come to the house. I also love to ride in the car, run in the yard and take naps, sit on laps, and play with my doggy foster brothers.
Mom says I am also learning commands. I come to my name and know how to sit for treats. If I were the only pup in the house, I would probably be able to master a lot more commands, as I’d really like to be the center of attention.
Dad says I’m friendly, loving and playful (I really love my toys and bones) – I’m just a bit particular as to who I choose as my forever person. My foster Dad knows a few tricks like how I can be picked up and set down and handled. Once you know those tricks too you will see that I’m dedicated, loyal and show the cutest side of my personality.

Tail wags and dances,
Talented and Trusting Theo

Dad says I love (I mean LOVE) to play with my toys. I think of them as my best friends (although I do have four-legged friends too). I carry my toys around and sometimes play fetch with them. And after a time playing actively, I love to cuddle.
My Ideal Home:
I love to go for walks and rides in the car – and I began to miss them a lot. You see my “Original Mom” had a stroke and couldn’t do those things with me anymore. So she hired some wonderful ladies who took me for walks and spent time with me. As her health continued to fail, Original Mom made the most difficult decision a loving dog mom could make. She knew I had a lot of spirit and spunk and that it wasn’t fair for me to be confined to a house all the time (I would never complain). Mom decided she needed to ‘relinquish me’ so I could be in a home again where I could do the things we used to do together.
When it comes to playing well I’m the most playful of all the pups. I’m the one most likely to grab the biggest toy in the bunch, start a wrestling match or initiate a game of ‘chase.’ I’m also known for having some very “entertaining” ways. For example, Mom says I like to carry her heavy work shoes down the hall and onto the bed every day – but I’d never think of chewing them. On the other hand I do nibble my doggy foster siblings’ feet (to get them to play with me!)
You see, before I became a FurKid, I led a rather difficult life. I didn’t get to meet people or other pups and was pretty isolated. I probably lived outside (as I was very matted and full of burrs and sticks), didn’t know about toys — or the joys of running, chasing, walking on a leash or riding in a car.
While I did not know any commands when I first came to my foster home, I quickly learned my name. Then, to show Mom how smart I am, I also learned a few more, namely “sit”, “paw”, and “touch”. (And another thing you might like: I can also pee on command during my walk).
