Hello Everybody!

My name is Snowy and I am a delightful, happy, friendly and playful furkid who is about 5 years old and very puppy-like. I love stimulation and I love to learn! I’ve never met a stranger ‘cause everyone is my new best friend! I love people and all the dogs I’ve met (big and small, bichons and not only bichons, although I certainly enjoy my bichon foster brothers.) I’m already well known in our neighborhood as a meeter-and-greeter too. My extroverted nature, sweet disposition, eagerness to please and cuddly nature makes me a ‘keeper.’

My foster Mom says that I am SUPER SMART and ACTIVE! Now for the ACTIVE part: Mom says I love to play with toys (more on that later) and I love GRASS! Every time I get out in the backyard, I do a little bichon buzz, then roll around in the grass with a big smile on my face. Dad noticed that I also love sniffing different types of flowers on my walks (and I love my walks!). Last but not least is proof of the SUPER SMART part: Mom says I have discovered training treats and when I realized I’d get a treat for going through the doggy door, I started running in and out and in and out every couple of minutes expecting treats each time! She and Dad laughed at how quickly I picked up on what to do and how I also figured out the reward for doing it. (And they are very impressed with me, too!)

Since I became a FurKid I have mastered a lot of new things besides how to play. I love to ride in the car, have already mastered the “sit” command when waiting for food and treats and I’m willing and want to learn more!. I’m also housebroken and not a marker. (Mom says those are really GOOD things!) I walk without pulling on the leash and while I enjoy being in the presence of people and other dogs I don’t need to be entertained constantly (Mom says I can entertain myself!) On the other hand if I can get one of my doggy foster brothers to play with me I love it! When I can’t I find a toy or two or three that I can play with and do so happily. I love rope toys and also those called ‘squeakers’. (The first time a toy squeaked though I was quite and I mean quite surprised!)

Dad says I’m respectful of house rules (and I do not break them ever!) am housebroken (and that’s NOT a typo!) and I am also not a barker. I never bark at anyone or other dogs on our walks or when people walk by the front of the house. Even when my doggy foster brothers bark, I don’t join in on the chaos. (Mom and Dad appreciate that a lot!) And when I need some quiet time I go to my bed or crate and take a nap!

My Ideal Home:
* Someone home most of the time
* An active family with kids (if possible) and at least one playful FurKid (required)
* A consistent, stable and loving environment

* Recent experience with a smart and active pup a plus
* Currently a doggy parent

Spectacular and Oh-So-Special Snowy

Hello World!

My name is Omazing Ozzie and I’m just about the cutest, happiest and most adorable little guy you’ll ever meet. Mom and Dad tell everyone that I’m a super sweet, cuddly and active little bichon who is 16 pounds soaking wet and simply omazing. (I think they mean amazing but they call me Omazing Ozzie!)

Now I know you want to know how I am with other dogs (I’m fine most of the time — but I’m even better being an ‘only’), I absolutely love playing with my stuffed toy, I think walks are the bestest fun and rides in the car are pretty neat, too! I’m potty trained, know some commands (and like to perform too!) and am so good that I sleep like a baby all night long. Oh and I’m also crate trained, don’t whine, am lovable, lively and very, very smart!

I’m about 8 years old and Mom says I have lots of exuberance. (I’m not exactly sure what she means but she smiles and says I’m a super sweet pup.) Dad says if you rub my neck or ears or give me attention I just about purr. (Silly Dad, Kitties purr, not puppies!) Actually I have this very endearing way of tapping on your arm (gently but relentlessly) so you can stroke me. And once you start to stroke me, I’m very good at getting you to keep doing it. Dad says I’m a master at gaining attention – and I’m such a good guy that I deserve it.

All in all, I’m quite the package and I’m ready to find my forever family. If you love to go on walks and rides (and cuddle!) then I might be ‘the one’ for you. And there is no doubt that I will be the most loyal and loving of companions.

Obviously Outstanding Ozzie

Hello Everyone!

My name is Chili the Champion and I’m a happy active little one-year old Maltese/Yorkie mix (otherwise known as a Morkie) who loves belly rubs, having my head scratched (I close my eyes when you do that then give you ‘thank you kisses’ to let you know you are appreciated! I also live to please! Want to play ball? Take a run? Go to the park? Then I’m your guy. Mom says I’d do amazingly well at agility because I can jump high, avoid obstacles and love to learn all sorts of new tricks.

I’m also a curious little guy who loves to sniff and explore. I adore my walks and like my rides in the car. I’m good with children and other dogs. I have this thing called ‘separation anxiety’ which means I like having other dogs and people around most of the time. Although I’m a ‘newbie’ I’m learning commands (the first one I’ve learned is ‘sit’) and I come when you call my name. I’m also working on being housebroken and am really understanding that! Dad says I stick to Mom’s side like glue and like to curl up into a tight ball and snuggle as close as I can! (Mom says I get an ‘A’ in cuddling!)

During the day, I just LOVE to play and go on walks. I love to try and get one of my doggy foster siblings to chase me or play with me. Mom says that I am fast, smart, and playful. That’s just my personality.

Mom says I’m 15 pounds of fun who loves everyone. She says I will go to the ends of the earth to earn your attention and affection. With a bit of training and lots of love, I’ll be the bestest buddy ever!

Cuddly and Charismatic Chili

Hello everybody!

My name is Precious, Precocious and Playful Pixie and I’m a loving, friendly, affectionate and outgoing cream colored bichon of five who is a natural “meeter-and-greeter” and a wonderful companion. I approach all new people to say “Hello’, give them a great big smile and wag my tail – then wait to be petted and played with. They find me irresistible, of course, because I’m so outgoing and friendly! And if they like to give belly rubs well then I’m definitely happy to oblige!

I’m also a bit famous. Perhaps you saw my photos on Facebook. I was the one who had a ginormous baseball-sized ‘appendage’ on my belly and the shelter thought I wasn’t ‘worth saving.’ They put me on “THE list” but my BFK Aunties swooped in and rescued me. From the moment my foster Mom drove me home I let her know that I was thrilled to be recognized for the happy, healthy, outgoing and affectionate little girl that I could be once again. Now I’ve had my surgery (I never ever complained!) and completed my recovery (I made the best of everything!) and I’m happy to be on my way to finding my forever home!

My ‘aunties’ at BFK say I’m one of the bestest little girls they have ever seen!. My foster Mom says I’m a very happy little girl who is lovable, affectionate, trusting, confident, housebroken and has a zest for life! I love to go for rides in the car and am learning about what Mom calls ‘leash behavior”.( I think that means I can’t pull on the leash.) I also need to learn commands (I don’t know any yet) and some good manners. You see I’m all about fun and haven’t had much training yet. Dad says I’m smart and playful and want to please. I just need someone to be patient and consistent with me so I can learn. I KNOW we are going to have a lot of fun together!

As you can probably tell, I’m having a wonderful time with my Mom, Dad and my doggy foster brothers. I want to be in the center of all the action! I love to roll in the grass, sniff the pretty flowers, run in the yard after the balls and be as close to my humans as I can be.

I sleep in my bed on the floor next to Mom and Dad (but I’d really like to sleep in the Big People’s bed) and I’m known to climb up and lay on the biggest pile of pillows. I also love to play ‘Shake the toy” and do that for all I’m worth – and that’s a lot!

Mom says I’m well adjusted, friendly and a great companion who looks like I’m smiling all the time. (You can tell Mom that’s because I am!)

Above all I’m a sweet fluff of about 20 pounds who wants to completely devote herself to someone. I would do best in a home with another FurKid and people who want to share their activities with me!

Precious, Playful and Precocious Pixie

Hello People

I’m Milo, a darling, cuddly and handsome little Maltese who is two years old. And, although I weigh a mere 12 pounds, I’m here to prove that good things come in small packages.

My foster Mom describes me as “a snugglebug,” which is kind of funny ‘cause I’m not a bug at all! She said it means that I like to be close to her (and other people). Well, okay since that’s true, I guess it’s okay to call me that. And well I do have this way of lying across my favorite people (like Dad, Mom and the ones called teen-agers) and licking their ears, They sit on the couch to watch a movie and presto! I’m there to cuddle for all I’m worth (and that’s a lot!)

Besides being a snugglebug I’m a great walker who is really good on a leash! We go for walks every day and I love them! I get to smell the grass, enjoy the sunshine and see other dogs along the way. I’m also good in the car. Dad says that although I’d like to drive I’m too little – so I just lie quietly in the backseat while we go ‘cruising’. I’m really a mellow fellow.

The greatest thing about being a youngster is that you get to play and learn things! Right now I’m one of three FurKids in the house so I’m learning a lot of things – like how to play with toys (tug-of-war is lots of fun and so is chase the ball.) and then there is my stuffed duck. Did I mention that I LOVE my stuffed toy duck? Mom says I’ve investigated all the toys in the house already – and really enjoy them. I especially love toys that make the crunchy sound when I crunch them! My middle name could be ‘play boy!’

Because I’m such a young guy, I’m still learning things like my commands. Mom says I’m also very smart. In fact I taught myself to be housetrained and have learned about the doggy door. (I’m just about perfect with it already although the flap still scares me a bit). It’s obvious that I really want to please and am very smart – and I’m working on being the bestest pup in no time at all!

Although I sleep in a crate now, I’m so good that I hope to sleep in the Big People’s Bed in my forever home (where I will be very quiet and well behaved!) In fact I’m pretty well behaved all the time, content to be in a loving home where I am appreciated and nourished.

To sum it all up, Mom says I’m a silly, affectionate, sweet, friendly and happy little guy. So what do you think? If you have other FurKids that would be perfect ‘cause they can be my play buddies!

Mischievous and Magnificent Milo

Hello Everyone,

My name is Dandy and I’m a handsome, loving and tail wagging sweetheart and a man-sized Bichon of about nine (years, that is) who is playful, smart and very well behaved. My foster Mom says I’m also endearing, irresistible and very sweet – a cuddler who is good with other dogs and thoroughly enjoys people. Mom says I’m really drawn to men (but I like women too. In fact I really just like everyone!)

My BFK Aunties say I’m a mellow fellow who does what he’s asked to do and is oh-so-eager to please! They say I’m always cheerful and happy and relaxed around people. I love running in the yard and, no matter what I’m doing, I constantly wag my tail to show how very happy I am!

Did I mention that I LOVE car rides? I’m REALLY a pro in the car…. already! And I REALLY like to go on walks too! I’m learning to have the best ‘dog walking’ manners and respond well to commands like ‘sit’ and ‘stay’. Did I mention that I’m housebroken (I ask to go out by standing at the back door. Isn’t that great?) And I sleep peacefully on my bed in Mom’s bedroom (next to my doggy foster sister) where I lie quietly all night long, snuggling and happy as can be!

There is no doubt that I’m a real lap dog and the world’s best companion! I learn quickly too and, most of all, want to please!

Mom says I would be happy in a home either with another female FurKid ocan be an ‘only’ FurKid if I have my people around most of the time. I’m just a happy, friendly, loveable, adaptable and very sweet (Did I mention I’m a lover?) little guy with a heart full of love and about as cute as I can be.
