Hello Everyone,

Please join us in welcoming Sophie and her six precious puppies who were born Friday morning, 2/17/23. We rescued Sophie from a shelter last week. Neither the shelter nor we knew that she was pregnant –however her foster Mom thought she could be…. and our vet confirmed that on Tuesday. Sophie had a spa day on Wednesday (she was incredibly matted and uncomfortable) and within less than 48 hours Sophie gave birth to four boys and two girls.
Mommy and babies are all doing great and Sophie is enjoying her “extra meals”. It was heartbreaking to learn how skinny she was once we got her shaved down.

We will provide updates and photos over the next few weeks. The puppies can be pre-adopted at four weeks but cannot go to their forever homes until after their initial shots at eight weeks.
April 4, 2023 — Meet the 4 boys (Sammy, Sawyer, Spencer and Stevie) and 2 girls (Sandi and Skylar).
Please note, SOPHIE HAS BEEN ADOPTED.
You can apply for a puppy from her litter using the button below.

The family agrees that I’m handsome, kind, well- mannered, intelligent and GREAT in the car! (Gee, thanks everyone). Mom says I’m a bit of a blank slate in terms of experience. I’ve already learned how to go up and down stairs, learning commands like sit, stay and come — and I’m so smart I can easily learn more. Want to teach me? I’m a very good student. I’ve learned to use the doggy door and am ‘just about completely’ housebroken and that’s not a typo! Mom calls that icing on the cake.

My foster Mom says I’m masterful at walks and have learned that they are a fun experience. I get to smell lots of things and see pups and people on our walks. (I’m a very approachable kind of guy and so nice that everyone wants to say ‘Hello’ to me. Mom says I walk really nicely on a leash and could walk forever. I also ‘heel’ when she stops. (Mom says that shows my good manners.) Pups and people seem to like me but I’m also pretty independent and confident, yet cuddly and affectionate.
Mom also wants you to know that I’m a svelte 21 pounds who is blossoming more and more every day (Silly Mom! I’m not a flower, I’m a FurKid!) and that I respond 1000% to human kindness. I appreciate every (good) thing that happens for and to me. I’m quite content to sit quietly on the couch next to you, happy to accept as many belly rubs as you want to give me. And if you want to brush or groom me, well, I’ll just sit next to you for hours doing what Mom calls “a bichon purr.” I just love (and appreciate) the attention. And looking handsome is a nice, too!
My very favorite thing in the world is to be loved and to give it back. Mom says I am a sweet and happy guy who appreciates attention – but doesn’t demand it. (I especially appreciate all the nice things Mom says about me and how kind she is!) I just need somebody to give me lots of love – and I’ll absolutely positively give it right back!

I, Georgie, am happy romping around playing with doggie toys, wrestling with Gracie or my foster doggy brothers or dancing around on my back legs. Dad says sometimes it’s a three or four ring circus at our house. He says that he and Mom call me the Jumping Bean ‘cause I try to jump into their arms whenever I have the chance! I also do this thing where I put my paws on either side of your neck and hug you! Mom says I’m a darling little boy and that you will want to snuggle with me any chance you get –I’m just that cute. (Can you tell she likes me?)
Now as for Gracie, Dad says she is an amazingly athletic, agile and fun pup to have around. She is happy to snuggle on the couch for a few minutes but is very busy the rest of the time playing and having fun. Gracie loves her yak bones and chew toys. Mom says she does have a trait that makes her smile. You see Gracie likes to hide her bones and toys. (She says you can never have too many bones for a rainy day – or whenever you need them!) Gracie also does the Bichon Buzz to perfection! Did I mention that she loves to run in the yard for about half an hour at least once a day? She’s pretty much non-stop. And she plays fetch too. She’s really good at it. (I like to chase the ball and try to get it before Gracie does but we’re pretty evenly matched!) And that goes for wrestling too! The only problem I have is that she has a way of staying clean and white even when it’s raining! I say that’s not fair!
Now about the snuggling part, we love to be cuddled separately and I’m more of a lovebug than Gracie is. On the other hand she sees the kind of attention I’m getting and is starting to think she can stay on the couch and cuddle longer (so she gets as much attention as I do!)
Mom says is that our forever home will be very special — because it will have two of the sweetest FurKids in the world living inside. And Dad agrees. He says anyone who meets us will be a happier person for the experience.

Until the other day I was living on the street and scrounging for food. Then I was picked up and taken to a place called a shelter. It was a loud and intimidating place for a youngster like me and I became quite scared. I rubbed and rubbed my ears on the concrete until they were very swollen and bloody. And while I don’t recommend doing that it did get me ‘rescued’ right away –so that I wouldn’t make things any worse for my poor ears!
My BFK Aunties took me to the nice vet where they shaved and cleaned up my ears and gave me some meds so that my ears would stop hurting me. Thank goodness they did as it worked! I’m already healing and the hair on my ears is already growing back.
There is also a great doggy foster brother who is helping me to become more confident every day. He is doing what Mom calls “showing me the ropes”. I get to meet lots of other dogs and people — and I like them all (Best of all, they like me!) And the greatest news is that I no longer have to be alone (Didn’t I tell you I’m lucky!)
Did I mention that I like to go for rides (in the car, of course!) and on walks? Well I do – walks and car rides are the best! And when we are back home, it doesn’t take much to get me into a ‘snuggle mode’. (Mom says I do that well, too!)

I like other dogs and even get along with those creatures called ‘cats.’ Everyone who meets me says I’m sweeter than sweet. It’s easy ‘cause I’m happy to be given love and attention. (Mom says a sweet, smart and gentle furkid like me would be welcome in any home- and on any lap!)
