Hello Friends!

My name is Precious Petey and, as you can probably see, I’m a very handsome boy — but not your ‘average’ bichon. I’m actually a very handsome, mellow and sweet little poodle, 12 pounds of love and affection in a very cute body.
I’m about six or seven years old and I’m quite the looker. I have beautiful black hair with white paws and a white tip on my tail. I also have white hair around my nose and mouth– and on my chest as well. But there’s more to me than just a pretty face! You see I’m a gentle, mellow little guy with eyes that look into your heart and soul with love and affection. Mom says I’m respectful, adoring and friendly with everyone I meet. Sometimes I’m a bit shy when I first meet someone new but in no time at all we become friends. Dad says it’s the sweet way that I approach you and ask to be loved that will touch your heart.
I like other dogs, and they like me, but I’m more into my special people! I will come up to you for a gentle pet or sit with you and cuddle. If you want a companion to share your days and nights, look no further as I’m applying for that job. You will not find anyone who is more loving or appreciative of the time we spend together.
I love to go on walks and rides in the car and am happy to find a lap to crawl into as well. Dad says I’m an incredible lap dog — and that I do my best to snuggle as close as possible. All I have to do is look at him with my big brown eyes, and presto, I’m there: ready, willing and able to cuddle for as long as he would like. I also like to snuggle with my mom when I can but she usually has other fluffs on her lap so I don’t compete.
Did I mention that I’m housebroken and sleep quietly in my crate at night? (Mom’s happy about that but knows I would love to sleep in the Big People’s Bed– and would be a quiet little buddy all through the night). I also know how to “sit” and am working on learning other commands too.

My Ideal Home:
- Someone home most of the time
- A person or couple looking for a best friend
- Adults or a family would be great!
Experience Level:
- Have had dogs as an adult
- Recent/current dog experience a plus!
If you are looking for a happy, cuddly, adorable, handsome and friendly guy who likes to be where you are and is sweet, gentle and very mellow then please ask for me. I can’t wait to meet you.
Tail wags and soft kisses,
Personable and Precious Petey

Mom says that I am as sweet as can be and a real cuddle bug. (Silly Mom, I’m not a bug at all, just a furkid full of love for everyone I meet.) Dad says I’m a diamond in the rough and a little guy with great potential! (Thanks, Dad!)
My doggy foster sisters and brothers are teaching me how to play and to be respectful of something they call ‘boundaries’ (I think that means I need to understand when they want to play and when they want to rest!) We have so much fun together! Toys, and ‘specially squeaky toys, are already my favorites, along with things to chew like yak bones. Why I never met a toy I didn’t like, either! And when I get tired, I curl up like the sweet little guy I am and take a nap. Mom says that makes the cutest picture!

Dad says I like to be wherever he or Mom is. He calls me Super Glue because I bond to people in seconds. There is no doubt that I’m the world’s greatest lap dog – until you get ready for a walk. I love my walks! I’m happy to trot along and see the world. I’m also a great rider (in the car, that is!).
Because I’m smart I mastered the doggy door in minutes (making Mom and Dad very proud of me!) I mastered being housebroken. And I also mastered this game called ‘Fetch.’ I’m also great at playing ‘Chase’ and I like being chased as well too. Another way that I show how smart I am is I cock my head when you talk and listen very, very intently! I don’t want to miss a word when someone is talking to me!

My story is all too familiar. My former family had me from the time I was a puppy and for almost six years. I went everywhere with them and liked that a lot. They dressed me up (I have quite a wardrobe) and life was fine. Then last August I had this thing called a ‘seizure.’ They took me to the vet who gave me these tiny little pills (I take 2 every day and I’m a champ!). And the best news is that I’ve never had another one! But then my family decided to move and didn’t want me anymore. They ‘surrendered’ me to the kind vet who took care of me until I became a FurKid.
Now life is good again. I get to go on car rides (I’m great in a car), go on walks (one of my favorite things to do and I’m simply amazing to walk!), I’m housebroken (I’d love a yard but I’m fine with a walk schedule) and I know a few commands (Sit and stay are my best ones!). My favorite thing to do (other than sit with my human) is to play with my pink squeaky ball. I like to carry it around and will ask you to throw it. Then I will run to catch it and, when I’m all done, I roll on top of it and get a massage. My foster mom says that’s adorable!
Mom says to tell you that I know a lot of things already. I’m housebroken (and get to sleep in the Big People’s Bed), know commands like “sit” and “come” and “wait”. She’s also teaching me hand signals because I’m so smart and like to learn. I also love riding in the car and adore my daily walks. Dad says I strut when I walk, hold my head as high as I can and wiggle my butt! In fact, like most furkids, I need my walks several times a day. It makes me and my doggy foster brother very happy to be in the great outdoors, smelling all the flowers, bushes and trees or enjoying the beach and all it has to offer.

I, Lady, am a very happy and loving pup! Whether you are gone for a few minutes or longer I greet you with so much love and affection that you’ll know how very important you are to me! My joy at being with you is contagious (in a good way) and I smile to show you how happy I am. I LOVE going for walks (the more, the better) and am fine with the other pups we meet and see, I also like to go for rides in the car. Since I arrived at my foster home I’m learning these things called ‘commands’ and showing how smart I am (and responsive too!) I’m housebroken, sleep through the night and am very adaptable to new situations. In short, I’m a happy camper!
My little sister Scottie (well, she is not really my actual sister but she thinks of me as her big sis) is a mellow and calm sweetie pie, with big brown eyes and silver-tinged ears. Dad says she is such a well-mannered, obedient and calm pup who defers to me but also loves and enjoys attention. Mom says Scottie is endearing because she doesn’t demand attention but draws you in because she is patient. She is housebroken, rarely barks, gets along with other pups in the neighborhood and is good with children. Scottie listens well, loves to ride in the car and go for walks. Mom and Dad agree that Scottie is easy going, not demanding, responds to love and affection with delight and is a sweet companion.
