Hello World,

My name is Spectacular Stevie and I am an affectionate fluffy pup, about 13 pounds and two years old who is adorable, friendly and a very lucky boy.  Let’s start with why I am so lucky.

Until the other day I was living in the shelter with five other dogs in my ‘cage.’ Now I have  two foster Moms, a bunch of doggy foster siblings (three brothers and three sisters) who think I’m really a great buddy, have a yard to run and play in– and people who like to cuddle with me. (Mom says I’m the one who likes to cuddle but I tell her it takes two!) 

When it comes to playing well I’m the most playful of all the pups. I’m the one most likely to grab the biggest toy in the bunch, start a wrestling match or initiate a game of ‘chase.’ I’m also known for having some very “entertaining” ways. For example, Mom says I like to carry her heavy work shoes down the hall and onto the bed every day – but I’d never think of chewing them. On the other hand I do nibble my doggy foster siblings’ feet (to get them to play with me!)

I’m a laid-back little guy who is well-behaved, listens (and wants to please), is smart, and learns quickly. While I’m quiet and easygoing, I’m also affectionate. I love to sit on someone’s lap when possible but also love the outdoors and my chew bones. Mom says I would probably get along with just about anyone….and I’m happy to say that I have a new best friend named Bijou. We are in the same foster home and have decided we like to play– and play– and play with one another! Mom says we ‘self-selected’ and that’s a good thing. So now I have a new BFF and buddy and we will be waiting for a forever home where we can be together!

*A home where Bijou and I can be together!

Hello World,

My name is Darling Danny Boy –and I’m so pleased to meet you. Now, I’m not exactly an Irish lad despite me name (oh! silly me!) I’m a gorgeous little bichon pup of about two who tips the scales at not quite 9 pounds and has quite a story to share.

You see, before I became a FurKid, I led a rather difficult life. I didn’t get to meet people or other pups and was pretty isolated. I probably lived outside (as I was very matted and full of burrs and sticks), didn’t know about toys — or the joys of running, chasing, walking on a leash or riding in a car.

Well, I’m catching up now! I have an amazing doggy foster sister who is willing to teach me lots of things and a foster Mom who takes us to the dog park every morning. When we are there I get to meet other dogs, from the big German Shepherd to the little Chihuahua. I’m always calm and friendly whenever any of the dogs approach me. And I’m good with people wanting to pet me, too. (They usually can’t resist as I’m so little and cute!) I also let the children pet me, although I don’t seek them out.

While I did not know any commands when I first came to my foster home, I quickly learned my name. Then, to show Mom how smart I am, I also learned a few more, namely “sit”, “paw”, and “touch”. (And another thing you might like: I can also pee on command during my walk).

Did I mention that I LOVE riding in the car? I would jump in by myself if I could!  I love the feel of the breeze on my face however my favorite spot is sitting calmly on my person.

My human Grandma says I have the silkiest hair she has ever felt and that my new hair is coming in soft and white. She’s quite pleased that I’m housebroken and wants you to know that I’m crate trained too .

Best of all I have this special doggy foster sister who is a very confident and charismatic pup. She has taken me under her wing (well, more like her paw), and I’m more relaxed when she’s around to show me what to do. (Thanks, Ruby.) Mom says having a confident canine sister (or brother) helps me to feel more secure –and that’s a very good thing. Each day I become more confident– so my Forever Home needs to have a fluffy buddy to help me be the little guy I was always meant to be.

Hello World!

My name is Bewitching Bijou, and I’m a handsome and delightful little bichon of about one (year, that is) with TONS of personality! (I’m not bragging, honest! That’s what my Mom tells me all the time!) She says I am so happy that I smile – and when I do, I light up the room!  Besides being cute and loveable I’m also playful and want to please! Sound good? Then please read on!

Mom says to tell you that I’m working on being housebroken (and getting better every day), love attention, and thoroughly enjoy my walks and rides in the car. (I’d really like to drive but she says I’m not big enough yet.) Mom says I also like to sunbathe in the yard, play with a ball (inside the house) and sometimes even bring the ball back. How’s that for wanting to please?

My Aunties say I’m a bit of a ham who likes all the attention that’s available!! I get along with the big people called adults – and Mom thinks I’d be good with the little ones called kids. I pay very close attention to everything that is going on in our house and follow Mom everywhere. Speaking of which, Mom says I love to be with people more than anything else! I’m always happy to meet new ones and am well behaved. People like to have me around and I never resist a chance to make friends or find a friendly lap for a cuddle!

Recently I discovered that I really like the companionship of other pups and I’m happy to say that I have a new best friend named Stevie. We are in the same foster home and have decided we like to play– and play– and play with one another! Mom says we ‘self-selected’ and that’s a good thing. Hi People!

My name is Wonderful Winky and I am a sweet, cuddly, affectionate, outgoing, and sensitive boy of about one or two (years that is) who tips the scale at 14 pounds and LOVES to cuddle! Although I’m young. I’m already proving that I’m SMART — and easy to train. (Why, I already know some commands and want to learn more! And since I’m eager to please, the more you can teach me, the more I can learn. Pretty soon I’ll have this thing called a ‘vocabulary’ that I have learned with your help!) 

Did I mention that I just love people? AND I also love other dogs. My foster Mom and Dad call me their shadow because I want to be with them all the time. I love following them around and watching what they are doing; I know there are all kinds of things that I can learn —and I simply want to be near them! While there are many cute things that I do to entertain them, the one that really, truly makes them smile and laugh is when I sit just like a person! Here’s how that works: I put my hind legs out front, sit up really tall and straight, and stay perfectly still. In other words, I imitate them so they will think I’m a people too! 

Besides being a great shadow and entertainer, I love going for walks and rides in the car. I’m also masterful at snuggling and do so with them every night. I’ve been told that I give really good kisses and am the best cuddler (Aw, gee, thanks Mom and Dad!)

I love to play with my toys and fetch them and bring them back to my house (or crate or whatever it’s called). I also really love fruit! Blueberries, strawberries, apples, bananas, pumpkin… you name it! I don’t like vegetables though because vegetables are icky! Eww!! Did I mention I like to cuddle?? Well, I DO! It’s my jam. Morning, noon, or night, if you need a cuddle buddy, look no further! I’m the guy for that job.

I am not picky when it comes to dog food and even though I have a lot to learn if you want to teach me, I am already well-behaved! I enjoy going for rides and walks and sit patiently and wait for treats — and I’m housebroken.

You will be happy to know that I rarely bark or am vocal (but when I do my foster parents say it is SUPER CUTE). Basically, I’m very relaxed and chill, but sometimes I do get this thing called “The Zoomies.” I don’t know where it comes from but all of a sudden I get a BURST of energy and race around the house running and playing and full of this thing called “exuberance” (I don’t know exactly what that means but Mom says it’s a good thing!) Dad says it’s totally normal and lots of little FurKids do it so I shouldn’t be embarrassed. I’m just a really good, fun-loving bichon pup!

Hi Everybody!

We are Jennie and Julie, a bonded pair of girls who adore one another and have quite a story to tell. Well, let’s start first with a bit of about who we are – then we’ll get to the story!

I’m Julie, and I’m a darling bichon of four (years that is). I’m a shy yet inquisitive, calm, observant and very sweet little girl. I tip the scales at 14 pounds and have big, expressive brown eyes. My sister is Jennie and she’s also four years old and weighs 13 pounds. I call her an honorary bichon– but Mom says she’s really a Shih Tzu. Jennie is a more outgoing and friendly –and is a happy and inquisitive girl and we are both sweet and gentle.

Now for our story: one stormy night at almost 3:00 AM, a Good Samaritan was driving home from her night shift. Half a mile from home, passing a cemetery, she saw a lady standing nearby and two white fluffy pups running. The Good Sam stopped to help the lady catch the two fluffs (for all the obvious reasons!) and she was successful, Happily she caught then placed each of the girls in the woman’s arms. No sooner had she done that than the woman gave them back to her, ran to her car, and raced away! 

Our rescue friend took a few minutes to figure out what had just happened. Then she realized that Julie and I were being ‘dumped’ at the cemetery. Of course, we didn’t know why. We had done everything the lady wanted us to do! We had puppies for her to sell and then more puppies for her to sell – then suddenly, and for no reason we could figure out, she didn’t want either of us. She took us to the cemetery and was “setting us free”! Well, thank goodness for the goodness in our savior! You know we wouldn’t have made it through the night without her!

We went to the vet the next day. She examined us and told our foster Mom that we were sweet young girls who now had a chance to live a much happier life! We got our vaccines and a surgery called a ‘spay’ and we even had dental cleanings. Of course, we were shaved when we first arrived at Mom’s, but our hair has grown in, and our BFK Aunties say we are beautiful. We’re not bragging and are very grateful to know love and kindness, possibly for the first time in our young lives.

At our foster Mom’s we have learned to use the doggy door and I, Jennie like to shake the stuffless crinkly toys and will often take little mini excursions around the yard. Julie always knows where I am and keeps an eye on me – even when she doesn’t want to join me. But when it comes time to eat or sleep, we are always together. We’re two gentle, sweet and loving little girls who get along with people of all sizes, shapes and ages, as well as the various dogs (of all sizes, shapes and ages) that live at Mom’s home.

Hi New Friends!

My name is Bubbly and Bodacious Bodie –and I’m a lover and a keeper! You can adopt me straight away or foster-to-adopt me. I’m an adorable two-year-old bichon/poodle mix (some people say Bichipoo, and others say Poochon), about 22 pounds, full of energy, and excited about life. Mom says when I look up at you with my big brown eyes, you will know that I love you. Dad says I’m a sweet and gentle boy who is a snugglebug, eager to please and fun to have around. I love to go on walks and rides – and am very good-natured. Mom says I have a smile on my face all the time!

I am an affectionate guy who will follow you from room to room. I like to sit at your feet or be in your lap (and be petted, please.) Being with you and near you is vital to me because I’m very interested in people!

Because I’m very puppy-like, I’d like to find an active couple or family. I’m a bit of a diamond in the rough, but I have SO much potential! I just need someone who is active and can work with me. Mom says I can win anyone over with my charm!
