Hello World!

My name is Joyous Joey and I’m a cute little guy who is about 1 ½ years old and simply adorable. Now I’m not bragging but everyone that meets me says I’m a ‘cutie patootie’. I’m not exactly sure what that means but my foster Mom says I’m ‘adorbs’ and that everything I do is adorable!

Mom says I’m 15 pounds of fun – and so happy that I smile – and wag my tail – all the time (except when I’m lying in your arms and cuddling!) I’m a master at the Bichon Buzz or Bichon Blitz or Zoomies. Regardless of what you call it, you will enjoy seeing me in action!

Besides being charming, kind, cuddly, delightful and happy, I’m also obedient, playful and want to please! Sound good? Then please read on! Mom says that I’m equal parts sweet and shy, a darling little guy who just wants to be around you- in your lap, by your side, next to you in bed, on a car ride. As long as I’m with you, I’m fine. Did I mention that I LOVE the car?
Aside from literally looking like a little teddy bear (seriously, if I say, Tom Holland were a dog, it would be me!), my best quality is that I’m just a great little friend. (And I promise I’ll be the bestest companion to some lucky person or couple!)

While I am shy at first when you meet me at my home, I’m much more comfortable meeting people outside. I’m finding out that there are lots of pretty special human beings in this world that I can like and who like me! I’m learning that love and attention are good things! Mom is helping me become more comfortable with new people – and I’m definitely getting more comfortable. And did I mention that ONCE I TRUST YOU I’M IN LOVE FOR LIFE? Oh! and I’ve discovered that ear scratches and belly rubs are pretty neat! So sign me up for more of them, please!

Mom calls me “Super Glue” because I bonded with her in about two seconds. She says I’m a happy, sweet, and social little love bug who likes the other dogs in our home AND the cats too!. So you will not be surprised to know that I like to play, go for walks and participate in all that life has to offer!

Did I mention that I’m housebroken (no typo there) and am also learning commands! Why I already come when I’m called (that’s more than some of my bichon cousins do!) and I’m learning “sit.”

So if you are looking for a darling pup, with lots of promise, are willing to continue my training (I want to become the best little guy that I can be), are active, home most of the time and like to do lots of things, I’m applying to be your new best friend.

Joyous and Jaunty Joey

Hi People,

My name is Blissful Benji and I’m a cuddly, cute, comical and clever little guy who is easy to fall in love with. My foster Mom and Dad say I’m almost perfect. I’m about a year old, weigh only 7.4 pounds and my BFK Aunties think I’m a ‘Morkie’ (a Maltese/Yorkie mix.)

I’m very, very puppy-like. That means I’m curious, lovable and playful! Mom says I do what she calls my ‘morning shenanigans.’ If you wonder what that looks like well, I’m known to grab a toy and toss it around the house followed by doing the Zoomies. There is no doubt that I’m as cute as I can be and every bit an energetic pup.

Dad says I’m quite adventurous and consistently demonstrate my puppy spirit. He says if I’m quiet, you’d better see what I’m up to! Did I mention that I love shoes and socks! I like to ‘find’ them and bring them to my play area.

I’m learning about walks (I’m working up to longer walks to build my confidence) and rides in the car (I’m a great co-pilot). I am also learning commands (I already know ‘sit’, ‘come’ and my name), and am almost housebroken. I like other dogs but my doggy foster brothers are older so they are not captivated with my puppy energy. I’m thinking another pup closer in age and size might be a good fit for me.

Most of all I’m playful (did I mention that?), learning the joy of toys, am a total cuddlebug and lap dog. Did I mention that I’m a pup who loves to play, rarely barks and likes to have people give me pets and belly rubs? That’s the kind of pup I am!

Buoyant, Bright and Brimming (with love) Benji

Hi New Friends!

My name is Zesty and Zany Zippy and I’m a perfect boy, a Bichon mixed with pure cuteness. Everyone who meets me says I’m adorable, loving and mellow. And that’s before they get to know more about me! On that note, I’m ten years young, weigh 12 pounds, have the most soulful eyes and short little legs. I am as affectionate as I can be, make new friends wherever I go and LOVE to go on rides and have adventures!

In my foster home I have many doggy ‘siblings’. Most are small like me but there’s a big one too. I’m not quite sure about him but he has this great big cushy bed so (drum roll please) when the bedroom door opens up I make a mad rush for the big cushy bed and claim it for the night. I smile like the cute boy I am when I have commandeered the BIG bed!

Did I mention that I’m housebroken AND know how to use the doggy door, never bark at strangers, am friendly and intuitive? I seem to know what people want and am happy to give that to them. And they are pretty intuitive too because when I roll over on my back they know I’m waiting for my favorite: a belly rub! Mom says that when she gives me a belly rub it tickles me and makes me scratch my back leg. She says that’s funny and very cute too! She loves how soft my hair is too!

I also like to go on short walks and LOVE rides in the car ! I really missed that a lot. You see my ‘original mom’ had couldn’t do those things with me any more- but knew I needed to be in a home where I could still do the things we used to do together. So I became a FurKid and now I get to do all those things again! Lucky me!

Mom says I’m an ‘easy peasy’ kind of pup. She means that I’m a calm, sweet boy who just likes being in your presence. Give me a comfy, cushy bed to lie in and I’m in heaven. OH and belly rubs and scratching my neck too please!

One more thing I almost forgot to mention – and that is I am SMART! Mom’s house has an iron fence to divide the side yard where the doggy door is. Well, I studied it for a bit then ‘discovered’ I could scoot through rather easily and get to the other side! Mom looked out the window one day and there I was on the ‘wrong’ side while my doggy foster brothers stood there wondering how I did that. That’s when Mom knew how very smart I am!

(By the way my foster brothers have still never figured that out!)

Zany and Zesty Zippy

Hello World,

My name is Missy and I’m a beautiful, sweet and friendly Bichon girl of about two or three (years, that is!) who is loving, playful, inquisitive — and besides all that, happy, funny and want to please. I’m a prancer with long legs who loves everyone – big people, little people and other animals ! All this – and I weigh 10 or 11 pounds. (Because good things come in small packages, I guess you’d say I’m the best little package you’ll ever meet!)

Mom says that I’m as cute as can be, from my big, brown, expressive eyes to my always wagging tail. My hair is soft, white and growing in (I am now getting good nutrition and thriving on it) – and soon I will look like the beautiful bichon I was meant to be! I’m very loving and, in fact, wrap my paws around your neck and snuggle happily when you pick me up. Mom says to tell you that I give amazing hugs (that’s what she calls them) and that I’m an absolute jewel! (I think she likes me, don’t you?)

Dad says I have never met a person I didn’t like – and I’m very energetic. I like to play, love to chase my doggy foster brother and sister, throw our toys and get them and play, play, play. There is no doubt that we have the bestest of times running around the yard and playing with each other.

Magical, Memorable Missy

Hi People!

My name is Banjo and I’m an amazingly handsome little Bichon of about three or four. My foster Mom says I’m loving, cute, adorable, a bit of a clown, affectionate and active. I love other dogs, adults, walks and (especially) rides in the car. That makes me an outstanding companion — unless you are a giraffe, a hippo or a tiger. I wouldn’t want to be your companion then. (Mom says I’m being a little silly but she knows what I mean!)

I’m 17 pounds of fun – a little guy who is handsome, friendly and young at heart. Well of course that’s true as I’m a young bichon boy! I’m also a guy who has to make up for lost time. You see before I became a FurKid I had this thing called an ‘accident’. I ran into something called a ‘car’ and it was a LOT bigger than I am. I got hurt and had to spend the last four months healing and getting better. And (drum roll please!) I’m now healed and better! I still shouldn’t do crazy puppy running and jumping yet – but since I’m a cuddlebug and snuggler, that’s not a difficult thing for me to do! In a few months I can do all those silly puppy things once again.

I’m also housebroken (I actually ask to go outside!), crate trained, willing to learn commands and LOVE to explore. Mom says I have a wiggle in my walk – and a bit of a ‘hitch in my giddy-up’ that’s a cute thing to see! I’m also very loyal and sweet and will do well in any home, as long as there is someone to shower attention and affection on me.

Hello everybody!

My name is Jimmie (although my foster Mom calls me Jim Jam) and I’m a sweet and gentle little guy who is an amazing companion and supreme snuggler! I’m a mellow pup who loves to be near my people (but am never intrusive) and enjoys the companionship of other pups. I’m also awesome with calm and gentle children. My foster Mom says I have puppy dog eyes that look at you with love – and that I have the ability to ‘materialize’ from almost anywhere if you mention the word ‘treat.’

My BFK Aunties say I’m a quiet and loving little lap dog – but I’m not a couch potato! I have an endearing and curious nature, like to explore my environment and have bursts of energy and playfulness – but that being petted is my specialty. One look at my cute little face and you will fall in love.

Once upon a time, I had a home with someone who loved and took care of me- and I was the happiest pup on earth. But one sad day, my person went to Heaven and I was taken to the shelter, which was a pretty scary place for a mellow and gentle soul like me. Luckily, my BFK Aunties came and scooped me up, because they could see that I was a great guy who would make a wonderful companion.

Now, I am a little bit older than the average guy you see on our web site, in fact I’m about 10 years young. But I am healthy and loving and cheerful- and little guys like me can have a really long life. Mom says that I like to go on leash walks and would love a yard to explore. I also love car rides. Sometimes I curl up and sleep the whole way, and other times, I look out the window and grin. I’m also eager to please.

At home, I’m the perfect buddy for a snuggle in front of the TV, or a little nap on the sofa. I’m a quiet, gentle guy who doesn’t cause any trouble at all. I stick right by my people and will even put my little paw on my Mom’s hand, so she knows that I’m there for her and ready to be petted at any time. Mom says that having me around is like having a visit from an old friend, who fits right in.
