Hello People,
My name is Lively and Loyal Liam –and I’m a handsome, smart and sometimes sassy Bichon of four who is looking for my forever home. I’m one of those rare pups that can either be an ‘only’ pup (I truly love being with my special person) or I can be with another small pup like me. (I really don’t care for big dogs. They scare me!)
My foster Mom says I’m very intelligent (I know commands including come, stay, sit, down, dance (twirl your finger), go potty, down, and ball. In fact, I will definitely become your new best friend if you play ball with me! My foster Dad says to tell you that I LOVE LOVE LOVE to play ball (did I mention that already? Well I truly do!), LOVE to go on walks, LOVE to ride in the car and LOVE treats. And I LOVE to be petted and will roll over for a belly rub any time and anywhere!
I’m all of 15 pounds, am housebroken (and use the doggy door!) and I love my crate. I do really well with structure as it makes me feel secure. I’m also known as the shadow. Mom says I will follow her (or you!) everywhere– and I’m very vocal. I say that’s because I’m a communicator! You see, I have a lot of different sounds that I make to let you know how I feel. For example, I have this cute growl sound I make when I’m getting petted (Mom says it’s my happy growl) and another growl I make when the big dogs come by (which is my way of telling them to stay away) Mom and Dad know all of my sounds and can tell you all about them.
I love to cuddle on the couch, greet you with great enthusiasm (even if you only go to the mailbox) share everything you are doing with you and am a great watchdog. I will alert you if I hear anything outside, let you know the doorbell was rung or if there is a strange noise in the house. Dad says that’s very helpful. I’m not a barker though – just an ‘alerter’.
While I am long on good looks and cute as can be, I’m also smart and a bit opinionated. I like to do what I like to do (which is why I need someone who is smarter than I am and will guide me into perfect behaviors.)Dad and Mom have been teaching me the proper way to behave in the world. And I need to continue my ‘training’ with someone who is a super smart and VERY savvy dog person.
My Ideal Home:
*Someone home most of the time
* NO other FurKids required, I like to be the center of attention
* Adults only
* NO children or grandchildren
* Someone committed to continuing my training
Experience level:
*Recent dog experience a must!
*Rescue dog experience a plus!
I’d really like to be someone’s bestest and most loyal companion! I’m hoping to make up for lost time – and am looking for an adopter who will appreciate my intelligence and my affectionate nature – and will continue to work on my training so I can become the best pup that I can be. Mom says there is no doubt that I’m well worth the effort!
If I sound like the pup you are looking for, please complete our adoption application. It will be a very special home to which I am adopted as I’m a very special kind of pup.
Tail wags and cuddles,
Lively, Loyal and Loving Liam

My sister Patti and I became FurKids after someone dropped us at a shelter without our mom. We were pretty scared, but fortunately, we didn’t have to stay there very long. Then our foster Mom and Dad picked us up and brought us to their home, where there were several pups, including one that was a Momma dog! She is teaching me all about how to be the best little pup I can be. My sister Patti was recently adopted, but I am still available!
I love people – and I love other dogs. I also love to play (well, of course, I’m a puppy!) (Please check out my video to see me in action!) Oh and did I mention I am good in the car, learning to be potty trained (already!) and am lots of fun. Dad says I’m cuter than cute and have the most expressive face!

Dad says that I’m a very happy little girl who is a bit shy at first with new people then warms up and wants to cuddle. I’m learning all about walks and rides in the car (I really like to go in the car but Dad keeps telling me I’m too young and little to drive!) and I’m also learning these things called ‘commands.’ So far I know “come’, ‘sit’, ‘stay’ and ‘no’ (I don’t really like that one!) And since I’m young and curious I did like to take Dad’s shoes from the closet and bring them into my doggy bed. Now I didn’t chew them or anything – I just liked having them in my bed. Well Dad said ‘No’, closed the closet door and that put an end to my “borrowing” his shoes. After that he picked me (so I could lay my head against his chest and snuggle for all I’m worth). And that’s a LOT!
My Ideal Home:
My foster Mom and Dad say I’m loving, affectionate, attentive and VERY smart. I listen and REALLY want to please. Why I’ve already learned to come when I’m called (unlike some of my bichon brethren!) and I’ve learned to ‘sit’. I’m definitely smart and want to learn more. I can also be a bit dominant so I need someone who is savvy and knows how to be in charge. You see, I’m not just only a cute bichon!
I’ve learned to potty outside and to go on walks and rides in the car. I’ve become quite the cuddler too –and love to give doggy kisses. I like to play with toys, run in the yard and am an energetic pup. After a day of playing and entertaining myself with toys, I like to lie on the couch with my foster Dad and snuggle. At night, when it’s time to go to sleep, I go quietly into my crate and sleep all night long.
