Hello World!
I’m Energetic and Endearing Emmie, an adorable and happy little bichon pup who is a bundle of love, weighing 12 pounds and a year and a half old. I love everybody (big and small, I like them all!) and everything — and I am always interested in what is going on around me. Mom says I’m a goofy, happy, loving and all-around great puppy who is big on having fun and equally big on loving. (Can you tell she kind of likes me?)

I love to run (and when it’s nice) sun in the yard – and try to play with my doggy foster siblings. They are much older and not as interested in playing as I am. (Dad says they are a bit grumpy, but I try to convince them to play anyway!) I like to play with toys and can entertain myself – but I’d really, really like another young pup to play with, please. Mom is working on teaching me to fetch. Right now, she does a pretty good job of fetching (but I’m learning how to do it, too!).
Because I’m a youngster I still have lots of things to explore and learn. As a result, I keep quite busy all day long. I try to engage all of the pups in our house and I love when Dad comes home from work. I do my best to show him how adorable and loving I can be (And he agrees I am, too!)
When I meet people I look right at them. Then they stop and tell me how cute I am and I do my best to be even cuter! Mom and Dad say to mention that I’m smart, sweet and eager to please! Did I mention I only weigh 12 pounds and that I like to snuggle and cuddle — and give lots of kisses? When you sit down I lay on your lap, stretch out as much as I can, show my belly then bury my face for loves. Mom says I have a zest for life and love to give doggy kisses to everyone!
Besides playing and cuddling I also am learning to go for walks and rides in the car. I’m still a ‘work in process’ when it comes to walking so I’ll need someone who can be patient and consistent with me.

I’m working very hard to become a perfect pup so that I can soon have a Forever Family of my own who will love and cherish me like Mom and Dad do — and make me a part of their lives.
So if you like to be loved and entertained, have another young and energetic pup that can be my friend, please complete our adoption application and ask for me. I’ll be working on all my manners and waiting with all my heart.
Tail wags and kisses,
Energetic, Endearing and Enthusiastic Emmie

Mom says wherever I go I attract attention! People stop to greet me and I’m a complete gentleman! I love to be held and spend time with my people. If you are on the couch, then I’m on the couch with you. When you want to go outside, you’ll find me right next to you. If you want to go for a ride, then I’m ready to jump in the car. Dad says I could get a tag that says ‘professional passenger’ and wear it proudly!’
My name is Susie and I’m a pretty and pretty famous bichon. The pretty part you can see from my photos so now on to the famous part. Well you see I was a little pup (12 pounds) with a huge mass (2½ pounds if you please) who was left at a shelter. I was so sick and scared and ready to give up. I had been living that way for many, many months. At the shelter I then developed this thing called pneumonia. (That’s even scary for a healthy pup) but… here comes the good part: My BFK Aunties swooped in, brought me out of that shelter, arranged for my surgeries and told people about me (that’s the famous part!) I was rescued!
Dad says I’ve also become a bit of a social butterfly recently. (I tell him I’m not a butterfly at all – I’m a FurKid!) Well, I was at a party with lots of the people they call adults and I had an amazing time going from person to person and lap to lap. There weren’t any children there however my BFK Aunties don’t believe I will be good with children but I certainly do well with adults.
My foster Dad calls me “Super Glue” because I bonded with him in about two seconds.
Mom says I am also learning commands. I come to my name and know how to sit for treats. If I were the only pup in the house, I would probably be able to master a lot more commands, as I’d really like to be the center of attention.
Dad says I love (I mean LOVE) to play with my toys. I think of them as my best friends (although I do have four-legged friends too). I carry my toys around and sometimes play fetch with them. And after a time playing actively, I love to cuddle.
My Ideal Home:
I love to go for walks and rides in the car – and I began to miss them a lot. You see my “Original Mom” had a stroke and couldn’t do those things with me anymore. So she hired some wonderful ladies who took me for walks and spent time with me. As her health continued to fail, Original Mom made the most difficult decision a loving dog mom could make. She knew I had a lot of spirit and spunk and that it wasn’t fair for me to be confined to a house all the time (I would never complain). Mom decided she needed to ‘relinquish me’ so I could be in a home again where I could do the things we used to do together.
